This is a simple poker hand equity calculator that uses Monte Carlo simulations to estimate the winning probabilities and equity of different starting hands in Texas Hold'em poker.
These numbers are dependent on the number of players at the table. To use this tool:
The heatmap colors indicate hand strength, where darker represensents weaker hands (i.e. lower equity).
Each cell is divided into three sections showing the probabilities of winning, tying, and losing with that hand.
Originally this tool is designed to monitor the estimates in real-time: when running on a 192-core AWS instance, looking at the flashing cells is mesmerizing (just like Vegas). Now that AWS did not apply my promotional credit and instead sent me to debt collection, the numbers shown here are statically served from the cached results.
I also wrote a 3-part write-up on the process of making this, you should check. them. out.
